The Demand Side Management (DSM) annual report focuses on program descriptions and data, as well as highlights from the year, the most significant being in the lighting programs. The residential lighting program accounted for nearly 90 percent of 2019 measures, with cooperatives securing more than 9,000 LEDs and members buying an additional 16,000 bulbs through the lighting store.
The Hoosier Energy Demand Side Management (DSM) program entered its 10th year of helping member-consumers manage their energy use. With a portfolio of seven incentives, the program is reducing summer peak energy demand by 4.3 percent.
Hoosier Energy sponsored one student, Haley Nethery, on the Indiana Youth Tour June 13-20. Youth Tour provides young Hoosiers the opportunity to visit the nation’s capital, learn about government, experience American history and gain a better understanding about their electric cooperative and government.
