Eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o ben\u00e9fica<\/em> \u00e9 um termo para substituir o uso direto de combust\u00edvel f\u00f3ssil (por exemplo, propano, \u00f3leo para aquecimento, gasolina) por eletricidade de forma a reduzir as emiss\u00f5es gerais e os custos de energia.<\/p>\n

O projeto da Hoosier Energy tamb\u00e9m pode determinar se h\u00e1 algum benef\u00edcio adicional n\u00e3o energ\u00e9tico para a fazenda (como melhoria na sa\u00fade animal) ao utilizar a tecnologia de recupera\u00e7\u00e3o de calor residual em compara\u00e7\u00e3o aos m\u00e9todos atuais de aquecimento de celeiros.<\/p>\n

Os resultados atuais da pesquisa sobre o sistema de recupera\u00e7\u00e3o de calor residual s\u00e3o bastante promissores, mas testes adicionais em v\u00e1rios estados podem resultar em uma grande transi\u00e7\u00e3o e causar um grande impacto na ind\u00fastria av\u00edcola dos EUA. Embora reconhe\u00e7am o aumento da carga el\u00e9trica para trocadores de calor, os fabricantes de equipamentos estimam uma economia de g\u00e1s de 40-50%. Esse tipo de economia na ind\u00fastria av\u00edcola seria equivalente a remover aproximadamente 250.000 carros das estradas ou plantar um milh\u00e3o de acres de floresta nos Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n
