Catfish tournament planned for April 1
Hoosier Energy and the Indiana Catfish Association (ICA) are sponsoring the eighth annual Turtle Creek Open – a day for anglers to reel in cash and prizes for catfish caught in the waters of Turtle Creek Reservoir in Sullivan County.
The tournament is planned for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 1. Registration begins at 5 a.m. that day and includes a $20 entry fee. Cash and prizes totaling $2,750 will be awarded. A one-page flier with map is available to download below.
Turtle Creek Reservoir is a 1,500-acre cooling lake constructed in 1980 for Hoosier Energy’s Merom Generating Station. The lake has matured into one of the best fishing and waterfowl hunting recreational areas in Indiana.
