COMT\u00c9 DE WAYNE, Indiana \u2013 <\/strong>Pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer l'obtention du prix Cope Environmental Center Certification B\u00e2timent Vivant,<\/strong><\/em> Le REMC de Whitewater Valley, en collaboration avec Hoosier Energy, a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 un ch\u00e8que de 150 000 dollars lors de la journ\u00e9e portes ouvertes du centre plus t\u00f4t cette semaine. Cette contribution aidera l'organisation \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser sa mission et sa vision d'\u00e9ducation des enfants et de garantie d'un avenir durable.<\/p>\n

En 2014, le Cope Center a annonc\u00e9 qu'il construirait sa nouvelle installation dans le but d'atteindre le niveau rare Certification B\u00e2timent Vivant<\/em>\u00c0 l'\u00e9poque, seulement 23 b\u00e2timents dans le monde revendiquaient cette accr\u00e9ditation et ce n'est qu'apr\u00e8s que chacun d'eux eut termin\u00e9 le D\u00e9fi B\u00e2timent Vivant.<\/em> Ce d\u00e9fi s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00eatre la norme ultime en mati\u00e8re de construction \u00e9cologique, applicable \u00e0 tout type de b\u00e2timent dans le monde entier.<\/p>\n

En 1947, Jim et Helen Cope ont achet\u00e9 30 acres de terres agricoles entre Centerville et Richmond, dans l'Indiana, et ils ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 planter une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d'arbres, d'arbustes et d'autres plantes.
