Les am\u00e9liorations r\u00e9duiront la fr\u00e9quence et la dur\u00e9e des pannes de courant pour les membres du SCI REMC qui re\u00e7oivent de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 autour de Wilbur, Monrovia et Mooresville via Hoosier Energy Supply. SCI REMC a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 1939 et est la plus grande coop\u00e9rative \u00e9lectrique rurale de l&#039;Indiana. Les coop\u00e9ratives \u00e9lectriques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9es par des personnes vivant dans des zones rurales qui se sont regroup\u00e9es pour fournir de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 leurs propres foyers, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 les services publics appartenant \u00e0 des investisseurs refusaient d&#039;aller (et le font toujours).
