Transmission System
High-voltage electric power is delivered to member cooperatives over a system of 1,500 miles of transmission lines, 17 primary substations and 300 delivery points. Interconnections link Hoosier Energy with seven major utilities in Indiana and neighboring states. Hoosier Energy is a member of the Midwest Independent System Operator which monitors the power grid in 12 states and the Canadian province of Manitoba.
