Preparing the Grid for the Future<\/h3>\n\t

The energy ecosystem is rapidly transitioning to a digitized, decentralized and demand-focused space with more resource variability and diversity requiring the grid to meet these shifts in a substantially different way than in year\u2019s past. The grid is smarter, modern and more technologically advanced.<\/p>\n

Hoosier Energy continues working to enhance the grid to enable 24\/7 reliability with a strong focus on resilience. One example of modern advancements we makes use of is the robotic line technology we use to monitor the health of the system. This process allows us to proactively identify potential issues and respond in a more measured and efficient manner without taking lines out of service. The use of this new technology to improve visibility and reliability across the system is \u00a0just one way we are targeting capital investments to enhance our capabilities as we power forward into the future.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Hoosier Energy is a member of both the Midcontinent Independent System Operator<\/a> (MISO), a regional transmission organization (RTO) that reaches over 42 million people across 15 states and the Canadian province of Manitoba, as well as the PJM Interconnection<\/a>.
